Food and Drinks in Rotterdam

Let me guide you through Rotterdam and give you the inside views and tips of where to eat an amazing stroopwafel, to get the best “broodje Shoarma”, a dish in original surroundings or some of grandma’s pannekoeken.

My Favorite Places

Rosso is a hip, modern winebar where you can enjoy some fine wines and tasteful snacks. It is located in the famous Westerlijk Handelsterrein, one of the cities’ most remarkable food halls.

Jamie’s Italian is a new arrival at the Markthal. Its fresh pasta is amazing and dishes in general very very nice!

There aren’t many other places where to enjoy a typical Dutch meal. Kaat Mossel is a reknown restaurant in the center of Rotterdam where you can eat of course “mosselen” (blue mussels). Apart from that you can try nice meat dishes and grandma’s tomato soup!

Zotte is a fantastic, small restaurant in the area of Rotterdam-Hillegerberg (north side of the city). Known for good food and beautiful wines, Zotte serves excellent dishes. Normally they tend to have a special, like Angus beef etc.

Don’t forget to mention you found Zotte on the Enjoy Apartments blog!

Want to enjoy a fish at 100 meters above the ground? Go to the Euromast. For inhabitants of Rotterdam and for tourists a beloved place!

In the Zalmhuis, located right next to the famous Brienenoord bridge you can enjoy nice food and have spectacular views. Tip: take a Watertaxi to the Zalmhuis and back from the center of Rotterdam!

For those that are looking for a good diner or lunch, Old Dutch is an excellent choice. Although meals in Old Dutch might be priced higher than in other restaurants in this guide, it is definitely a recommendable restaurant. It’s gentle host Aad van der Stel and his team await you there.

Don’t forget to mention you found them in the Enjoy Apartments guide!

Try some of grandma’s pancakes (pannekoeken) and other typical Dutch dishes. Close to our Meent apartments.

Perhaps one of the most reknown Shoarma places of the city, located in the Witte de With street, Jaffa is a classic place. Perfect for going after a few drinks in town as they open until 2 am.. Located close to the Witte de With apartment
