My Favorite Places

L’Aldea

L’Aldea
Actually, this Brazilian steakhouse is a must if you like meat. A simple concept: for a fixed price a Brazilian all-you-can-eat mixed grill restaurant on Curacao. First you walk through the walk-in fridge ‘ with an extensive and delicious salad bar and after that you can enjoy the 18 kinds of meat you are offered by all evening.

Gouverneur de Rouville

Gouverneur de Rouville
Great food in a prime location: If you’re in Willemstad you have to go eat at the Governor. You can not only dine here, but also have a nice lunch or a drink. The restaurant has a nice, charming interior garden, but the porch is the best place of the restaurant. Here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the famous Handelskade and the Queen Emma bridge.

Marsche Bieu

Marsche Bieu
Would you like to taste traditional Curaçao kitchen? Visit the famous covered market of Curaçao: Marsche Bieu, in Willemstad. Around lunch time there are very talented cooks standing here everyday to cook the most delicious, exotic creations. What do you think of stuffed cheese, sweet soup and for the high rollers: stewed iguana? I recommend the rice with chicken. Reservations are not needed, you can just join! And all this for a small price, dishes cost averaging 4 to 10 euros.

Mundo Bizarro

Mundo Bizarro
Imagine yourself in the old Cuba: at Mundo Bizarro you can have an atmospheric lunch or dinner with a Cuban twist. The food is super good here and the atmosphere is casual. In the evening there is swinging live music. Meet friendly people at the bar or simply feast of the great dishes. Our tip is the fish with pasta pesto or red snapper. The prices are good and are between 7 and 19 euros. In short: get ready for an unforgettable evening!

Boathouse

Boathouse
Boathouse in the neighbourhood Brakkeput is an absolute winner in Curaçao! The service is very friendly, the wine list is good and the dishes are carefully prepared with fresh local products. Outside on the terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view of the port of the Spanish Water. And all this for a reasonable price: dishes cost between 8 and 22 euro. A wonderful place so so after dining.
