Cafe Caprice
If you would like a spot on a hot summer day at Cafe Coaprice to the strip of Camps Bay then it will be most likely a long wait. Or over the garden fence. It is always busy at this popular bar. At Cafe Caprice you can drink your cocktails, have a fine bite to eat, look at the people passing by on the boulevard and you can definitely enjoy the sunset. On Sunday evening the tables to the side and turns Caprice into a dance floor.

Shimmy’s Beach Club
Exclusive, hip, trendy and a tad decadent: that is Shimmy’s Beach Club in Cape Town: a popular hot spot for both locals and tourists. You will find the beach club on a piece of abandoned port next to the V&A waterfront and if you start up the long drive, it is hard to imagine that behind the walls of Shimmy Beach Club there is such a pretty picture hiding. Sun beds, large umbrellas, two swimming pools, sea views and fine four-poster beds provide for ultimate relaxation. Or the perfect party.

Club 31
Club 31 is located on the 31st floor of the ABSA building, towering in high and over Cape Town. This club has a beautiful view of the mother city by night. During the day, the building is a dull office building, and in the evening you take the same lift as during the day by the Office clerks. And then you just walk in Cape Town’s own penthouse, where the entertainment audience is going for the better after-hours dance moves.

Weinhaus + Biergarten
Don’t be surprised if you’re on a weeknight driving on Bree Street and all of a sudden you hear a noise of people laughing. A full terrace, indoor bar, slippers and stilettos blend in the corner of the club and a fun live band. This is Weinhaus + Biergarten. Bree street has never been so alive.

Jade’s Champagne Bar & Lounge
Ask a random stranger on a typical Thursday evening what the best place is to go out that night in Cape Town and the answer will probably be ”Jade’s”. If you ask this same question any other day of the week, the chance is signigicantly smaller that the name of this club in Green Point comes up. Fact is that Thursday night actually is the only night when this living-room-club-bar is really nice and popular.

Tjing Tjing Rooftop Bar
A rooftop bar in the heart of the Centre of Cape Town, that is Tjing Tjing. On the roof of this lovely lunch place Dear Me you will find, somewhat hidden, this particular drinking spot. Ideal for after work or what later in the evening. In the middle of a cozy company of thirty-somethings and up there is a relaxed atmosphere and fine background music. Add some yummy bar snacks, and you have a very nice evening.

Mama Africa
Food and dancing ‘ African style ‘, that’s what Mama Africa on Long Street is all about. It is a tad touristy, but nevertheless not without a reason on the to-do list of many tourists. Maybe more to eat than to really stick for hours, but it is the atmosphere that the band in the corner of the restaurant adds to the authentic African food. Especially the boboti is particularly recommended.

Stardust
The ultimate dinner show of Cape Town, where you can not only eat delicious  (Mediterranean cuisine) but where it after the delicious food still remains restless. Several South African artists started their career here. Granted, around midnight you will probably want to go to another club or bar in Cape Town, but until then you have a delicious beginning of a fantastic night out at Stardust.

The Grand Beach
The little sister of The Grand in Camps Bay opened its doors in 2009 in the nightlife of Cape Town. The food is very tasty (but a tad overpriced), the pizzas are delicious (and) affordable, the sand under your feet, the sun setting in the sea in front of you and the atmosphere makes the perfect picture. Particularly child-friendly too, because they can easily run in the sand. That is clearly not said for all the trendy hot spots in Cape Town.
