Cap de Formentor

Cap-de-Formentor-mallorcaCap de Formentor lighthouse is a spectacular lighthouse at an elevation of 384m above sea level located in the eastern end of Majorca’s Formentor peninsula, on the northernmost point of the Balaeric Island Majorca in Spain.

The road to reach the lighthouse is asphalted. It’s called PM-221 and is one of the most scenic drives in the world. The route is hilly and packs in 1.600m (5,200ft) of climbing.

Sa Calobra

An incredible drive from Valdemossa to Sa Calobra via the beautiful village of Deia where you can enjoy a beautiful lunch in the hidden beach restaurant Ca’s Patro March

The highlight of this very small beach with sand, gravel and pebbles comes after the pedestrian tunnel along the steep and abrupt cliffs, from where you can reach the wonderful mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, which has been an inspiration for artists and where there is a choir concert each summer due to the excellent acoustics.

Glassware

glassware-mallorcaGlass blowing has been a part of Mallorca’s history since the Phoenicians visited the Balearic Islands back in the 2nd century BC. The tradition continued with new techniques being introduced by the Romans and the Moors. Commercial factories were set up during the 18th century, with the Gordiola factory being established in 1719.
The three major players in glass making on Majorca are Gordiola (nr Algaida), La Fiore (Palma-Valledemossa) and Menestralia (Campanet). Each one has a factory that you can visit to watch the glass blowers in action, alongside their showrooms of brightly colored products.

Parc de la mar

Spain,Balearic Islands,Mallorca,Palma,Cathedral La Seu and Parc de la MarThe park around the lake is a popular weekend and summer spot, with several cafes, a mural donated by Joan Miro and an art gallery in the vaults of the old city walls. Sit beneath the palm trees gazing up at the cathedral and try to imagine the travellers of days gone by arriving at this same spot from the sea by boat. The park also hosts a number of events, concerts and festivals throughout the year.

Torrent de Parei

Torrent_de_Pareis_mallorcaTorrent de Pareis is a unique location. It’s a tiny beach spot, between 2 very high mountains. It has been described as ‘a dream of titans hidden between the high mountains of Sierra Tramuntana…’
