  • By Bus

Dubai has a fine organized bus network of 79 bus lines and 1860 stops. The public bus system is quite reliable and the buses run 8 times out of 10 on time.

All buses in Dubai have been recently purchased. They have conditioning, air freshener and monitors where you can see the route information. The bus system works with a check-in-out prepaid chip card system.

For tourists, there is the possibility for 14 AED, about 3 euros, to buy a day ticket that allows to  travel unlimited with the subway and bus.

The Dubai Tram runs around the Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach. With the construction of the tram people hope that the traffic chaos in this region of Dubai will significantly decrease. Another plus of the new tram is the reduction of travel time to the hot spots in the Dubai Marina.

  • By Taxi

The most common way to get you through Dubai is by taxi. The taxis in Dubai are creamed with a yellow or red roof. These taxis all have a well trained English speaking driver and a meter + GPRS system and not to forget the air conditioning!

All taxis are supervision by the official taxi company of Dubai. In total there are more than 3500 taxis in Dubai, they are driving 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Dubai has a metro since 2009. You can travel a large part op the city cheap and quick! The metro drives between 5 am and 1 am. The metro will drive every 10 minutes from the metro station Rashidiy ,near by Dubai International Airport, toward Jebel Ali. A lot of interesting places in Dubai will be around Sheikh Zayed Road and the metro comes there along.
