Must avoid
They are in every big city; the pickpockets. Barcelona is a very safe city, but pickpockets are out on the stuff of tourists. Follow our tips to avoid being the victim of pickpockets and you will have a great time in Barcelona:

1. Be extra aware in/at the metro(stations), around airport transport, on the beach, at La Rambla, Sagrada Familia and other very touristic places.
2. Do not carry your wallet in your back pocket and wear your bag on your front.
3. When you are in a cafe or restaurant, don’t put your valuables on the table and keep bags on your lap.
4. Be aware of any strangers touching or approaching you.
5. Watch out when you are playing a street game or watching a street show.
What to do with kids in Barcelona
Beside the famous sights Barcelona has also a lot to offer when traveling with children.

La Nena Restaurant
A perfect restaurant for children of all ages. When you have breakfast or drink a cup of coffee, they can play in the children corner.

Parc de la Ciutadella and Zoo de Barcelona
Children can play in the parc when you are relaxing and have a picnic. There is also a zoo in this parc with a lot of different animals.

L’Aquarium
A large aquarium with a lot of colored fish, something every child likes.

Beach

For the older children there is an amusement park on the top of the mountain Tibidabo.

Which neighborhoods are safest
Barcelona has a lot of nice and cozy neighborhoods, where is always something to do. Find here the most important ones:

El Born
A district with many small and cozy streets. Known to many fine restaurants, bars and boutiques. There are a lot of local celebrations during the whole year, surprise yourself!

Gracia

El Raval
It is not the cleanest and safest district of Barcelona, but beside the darker side it is an exciting and interesting neighborhood. It has character! It is worth to visit side streets of La Rambla.

Barrio Gotico
Between the two big streets Via Laietana and La Rambla you find this romantic district with a lot of unexpected squares and small shopping streets. Always look around, don’t miss the most beautiful places.

Barceloneta and La Vila Olimpica
Barceloneta is a neighborhood with small streets leading to the beach. There is a boulevard for people who want cycling, running, walking or skating. This boulevard leads to the other district at the beach: the old Olymic Quarter, La Vila Olimpica.

L’Eixample
The newer part of Barcelona. A lot of famous designers sell their clothes in the shops on Passeig the Gracia, the heart of L’Eixample. Visit the two houses of Antoni Gaudi.
