With the summer months approaching, there are also plenty of great food festivals, music events and other fun outdoor things to find in every city. But well, to pay every week 30 euro… We can understand that you don’t like that, so we made an overview of events where you can go for free!
1. Pick the night open air film festival
Ever started a group of friends Pick the night film festival (dutch translation: Pluk de Nacht film festival) and by their love for film, this event is still a success. You look on a giant screen to international and national films, documentaries, animations or short films. You’ll find ‘’Pluk de Nacht film festival’’ at the stone head City beach close to the Central Station of Amsterdam. Entrance is free of course, but you will want to be assured of a nice spot then you can rent a beach chair!
2.Amsterdam Cooks
It is a free event where you can dine at several food trucks while your are listening to a flawless performance. Amsterdam Cooks takes place from 4 till 7 August at the NDSM-Werf.
3. Sunday Market
At the Westergasfabriek you will find the Sunday Market. Go there for a tasty snack, drink or to shop. The market is in any case at the Westergasfabriek found on 2 August and 6 September.
4.Pure Market
From 11:00 to 18:00 you can find on different Sundays at parks such as Amstel park, Park Frankendael and Beatrixpark the Pure market. A fun event where you can buy the most delicious food everywhere and often there are also some activities available.
The easiest way to get at these events is by jumping on the bike and find the way with your smartphone. You don’t have a bike in Amsterdam? Then you can choose for public transport.
