The people of Malaga are known with their love for wine and food. You can find them mostly in a café or restaurant. They are also called boquerones (sardines).

Pablo Picasso was the most famous inhabitant of the town.  You can still see his work in the his old house or in the Picasso Museum. A few years ago is Malaga totally refreshed.  The buildings have been refurbished and the center has been pedestrianized. With the Mediterranean climate – you can even relax during the winter in Malaga.

Malaga has many special attractions to offer like the Alcazaba Fortress, Gibralfaro or the Plaza del Toros. There are still bullfight’s in the stadium. This stadium is incidentally just a two minutes’ walk distance away from the great port of Malaga.

Nowhere else you can eat such as tapas in Malaga. On every street corner can you find a cozy tapas bar. Most restaurants are located in the center.

Malaga is Tapas and for tapas you have to Bodega El Pimpi, Bar Lo Gueno and the oldest: Antigua Casa de la Guardia. If you want something different than tapas, Meson Astorga also serves other typical authentic Spanish food.

You really have to visit the neighborhood ShoHo. SoHo Málaga is known to find street art, but also many La Victoria and especially colorful creations. Especially the little neighborhood Lagunillas has received much color by street artists from Málaga.

Most of the creations you can see through Plaza de la Victoria, calle Lagunillas to walk. You can also walk from Plaza de la Merced, the street next to the birthplace of Picasso catching up.

La Victoria has a lot of bars where you can eat a small snack or drink. The nice thing here is that you are right in the Spanish life, La Victoria see fewer tourists.

Okay, of course you have to visit the beaches during the summer! Don’t choose for the touristic beaches but go to the Baños del Carmen, Malagueta, Limonar and Pedrejalego these are places  for young and old. Jogging, good food, drink on a terrace. Tourists come here hardly. This is Malaga Malagueños. They are more beautiful!
