#1 BACOA

This restaurant is your to go place for hamburgers! This burger restaurant started really small with only 15 seats in Barcelona in 2010. And now it has multiple locations in Barcelona and also in Madrid. They combine the atmosphere of an Australian barbecue with the quality and patience of Mediterranean ingredients.

#2 FOC Barcelona

This restaurant has a Latin kitchen and is really popular in Barcelona. Make sure you arrive on time because it is usually really busy! It has great food and a lovely atmosphere. It is located close to the beach, so the perfect spot to do an after-beach-drink or diner!

#3 El jabalí

If you want to eat Tapas you should go to El jabalí! What better place to eat tapas than in Spain? This is a small tapas bar, it is located in the neighborhood El Raval downtown Barcelona. The food is delicious and not that expensive. They have excellent service and also speak English.

#4 Cañete

This is a family restaurant located just off the famous street La Rambla. All the fish and seafood we serve comes fresh from Catalan fish markets. All the vegetables we use are in season and grown locally. This restaurant is perfect to get a taste of traditional Spanish tapas with a touch of fine dining. The prices are on the expensive side but you get what you pay for.

# 5 Tickets

This restaurant is quite exclusive, if you want to eat here make sure you make a reservation in time. You have to make a reservation at least a month before.  You can eat all kinds of tapas here.  The chef Albert Adrià was voted The World’s Best Pastry Chef, in 2015. Last year this place was located in the top 50 restaurants worldwide on place 25! So definitely worth the try to reserve a table!

#6 Can Cisa/Bar Brutal

This restaurant is located in the neighborhood El Born. If you want to eat like the locals and get a taste of the Spanish culture this is your restaurant. You can eat all kinds of tapas and they use fresh ingredients. It has great service and they serve the best (biologic) wines. You can also come here just to drink a wine.

#7 La Barca Del Salamanca

This restaurant is located in the port of Barcelona, which means it also has a great view! Their specialty is seafood and they have really good Paella! Since they are at the harbor, the fish is fresher than fresh. This place is the personal favorite of our colleague Pascal and also a beloved place for the famous Spanish and FC Barcelona players. On the right and left side of the restaurant you can see all the photo’s of everybody who have been here before, like Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ronaldinho and even Johan Cruijff!

#8 Marea Alta

This Restaurant is specialized in char grilled fish and smoked dishes and brings together the wealth of the coasts in a culinary space with the best views of Barcelona! The decoration makes you feel like you’re eating inside a boat. The restaurant is located just off the famous La Rambla on top of the Drassanes tower. During your diner you’ll have an incredible view over the Mediterranean Sea. Try the menu with several dishes and combining wines, it’s a dining experience!

#9 Ciudad Condal

This is maybe Barcelona’s Finest tapas bar, located in Eixample. It can be busy but you can’t make any reservations over he. But trust me if I tell you that the wait for a table is worth it. All kind of people visit because it is a special place because of the incredible tapas suitable for all tastes. Besides the great tapas they also have a wide selection of beers!

#10 Cervecería Catalana

Cervecería Catalana is a beer bar and a tapas restaurant in the neighborhood of Eixample. You can find all kind of tapas and “montaditos” (piece of bread with something on top). Because it’s a beer bar, they als offer national and international beers. Cervecería Catalana is also very popular by the locals.

# 11 Casa Jaime

This restaurant has a great Mediterranean cuisine, Catalan and Spanish. They have homemade dishes in the warmest atmosphere. They have seasonal dishes and also tapas. It was established in 1953 but redesigned in 2014. It has a great atmosphere.

# 12 Margherita

This restaurant has an Italian cuisine, it is located in the beautiful Eixample neighborhood.  This restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes from the best Italian cuisine prepared with authentic quality ingredients and with great respect for the culinary traditions of Italy. They also have a selection of the finest traditional Italian desserts handmade by their dessert chef.  Not only the food is great they also have a wide selection of wines.

This restaurant is located in the neigborhood El Born. La luna is a chic and elegant place to kick off your evening. It has all kinds of tapas and cocktails. This restaurant has great service and a nice atmosphere that makes you feel like home!

#14 Ikibana

This restaurant is based on classic Japanese cuisine, but have a wide variety of Brazilian dishes as wel. So it’s a great fusion between dose two. They use first rate ingredients. Do you love the Japanese cuisine? Then you should visit this restaurant for the best sushi. They have 3 locations: Ikibina Parallel, Ikibana Born and Ikibana Saria, in Saria they do often nights with after diner live music, so you can continue your evening at the same place! They also have great cocktails and wines.

#15 Pepa Tomate

Pepa Tomate is since its opening in late 2012 one of the most popular restaurants in the Gràcia neighborhood. Behind its success are the tapas, small plates and traditional dishes cooked by young chef Pau Corderas and the cute interior design.  They are really friendly and a great place to eat tapas!
