My Favorite Places

Corso Vittorio Emanuelle

Corso Vittorio Emanuelle
Many Milanese go here to do window-shopping. Of course, the shop windows and porches have a particular attractive appearance. During the day it is forbidden for traffic so you can have the ultimate shopping experience and perhaps buy something of all this beauty. In the evening there are many young people who want to be ‘ seen ‘. The street is easily accessible from both sides.

Via Monte Napoleone

Via Monte Napoleone
Via Monte Napoleone is the most famous shopping street of the city. If you’re really a fan of the big top brands, then this is your Mecca. The prices here are very high. Most of the Milanese, and also tourists, will only take a look. This shopping street has many side streets. There are also boutiques but the prices are not very lower.  Not only clothes but also bags, lingerie, hats, scarves and much more are waiting for you.

Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is the biggest shopping street of Milan and at the same time one of the largest in Europe. Most stores are, how could it be otherwise, clothing stores. The prices here are some more pleasant. Are you looking for bargains than you can go in the summer and just after Christmas. Tired, hungry and thirsty? There are plenty of outdoor cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

Corso Vercelli

Corso Vercelli
This street is located outside the village. You can find affiliates of big department stores in the Centre. Here you can find clothing, bags, lingerie, linen and leather goods. Are you looking for shoes that you’ve never been able to find, go but half way through the street to the East. There is Via Belfiore. Only shoes, shoes and more shoes!

Paolo Sarpi

Paolo Sarpi
The Chinatown of Milan. The name says it all, the people that live here are almost all Chinese. In the beginning this street was used to sell silk neck ties. The silk is now replaced for leather neck ties. You can just walk in this street and look for something that is one of a kind. This street is especially on Saturday very busy. The products are from decent quality and the price is at an acceptable level.

Brera

Brera
Long ago there lived many artists  in this district . This made the area very attractive. By constantly renovating, the district lost a lot. The artists have left. You can still enjoy shopping here. There are many small shops where clothing is sold. You can also find trinkets and other curiosities. There is a trend recovered from antique shops. Here you may find what you already was looking for. If you’ve found what you’ve been looking for, don’t be too excited! Maybe they will make the price more expensive.

Via Torino and Ticinese

Via Torino and Ticinese
Long ago Via Torino was Milan’s main shopping street. Now it isn’t anymore but you can still enjoy shopping. Here you will find everything in the shoe department. The quality can vary so as the price. It is focused on young people tough. You can go to Ticinese when you walk out Torino starting from Duomo.  Here you will find many small shops and many art studios.
