ATM services in Milan

If you have a bank card with a Maestro logo then you can withdraw cash at ATMs with the same logo.
Credit cards are accepted at a lot of places, but definitely not accepted everywhere. So don’t just expect that they will accept your credit card and take different kind of payment methods with you.

Safety in Milan

Milan knows the dangers that are found in every major city. The traffic is hectic and the chance of an accident is therefore a lot bigger. In addition to the traffic there are pickpockets and thieves. Always be alert, just don’t walk with valuable stuff that is not necessary and don’t put your wallet in sight.

On the square in front of the Duomo are men that actively try to put corn in your or your child’s hand to feed the pigeons. They will do this in a pretty compelling way and they will grab your hand and try to stop the corn in your hand. If you have the corn in your hand they want only one thing of you: money. They will let you know this in a very intimidating and aggressive way.
