Eight tips to enjoy a festival!
1. Don’t forget your ticket!
Perhaps unnecessary to point this out, but it often happens that people forget their ticket. Without ticket, there is no festival for you. Bring always your ID card with you, sometimes the security asks for it.
It is very important to buy your ticket from an official reseller. Nowadays there are many people who sell fake tickets. It is a shame if you arrive at the festival and your ticket turn out to have been used.
2. Think about your money!
Don’t bring too much cash with you, because the chance that you might lose it is big. Nowadays you can pay by card for your drinks and food. Some cash is necessary in case of long lines at the ATMs or a technical failure. Do you have things in your wallet that you don’t need during the festival? Leave it at home!
3. Watch out with alcohol and drugs!
Alcohol and drugs appears to be a normal phenomenon during festivals, but watch out! Ending the perfect festive mood at ambulance is not what you want. Not only for yourself, but also for other people, for example when you go on the road. Be wise and enjoy!

4. Drink water!
If you drink alcohol, also drink water. Of course, an alcoholic drink creates a good atmosphere, but if you want to dance all day you have to drink water too. At some festivals you can fill your bottle. So bring your bottle with you and you can drink water the whole day.

5. Take care of yourself!
Sun block, cap or hat, earplugs for loud music and good shoes that you can walk all day. Don’t forget these things if you want to have a carefree day. Beside that warm clothes and rainwear are necessary in some countries. There are lockers at most of the festivals, so you can put your clothes in the locker if you don’t need it.
6. How to stay in touch with your friends?
What if you can’t contact your friends, because you have no connection? Always discuss about a meeting point in case you lose each other. A festival is large, so just finding each other is difficult.
Bring a fully charged phone with you, so that you don’t have to scare about your batteries. If you go to a multi-day festival you can bring a external battery that you can charge. Turn off unnecessary features, like the sound, then the battery will last longer.

7. Is your favorite artist coming?
Check the timetable! It will be a shame if you can’t see your favorite artists. You can’t see all the artists, so you have to make choices. Most of the festivals have an application that you can use during the festival. A good thing to check the timetable.
8. Last but not least!
Enjoy, enjoy and enjoy! Bring your good humor and forget the outside world. Don’t worry if there is an overenthusiastic person that throws a cup of beer in the crowd. You get messy, but it will be one of the best times of your life!
