The first edition of the Curacao International Film Festival Rotterdam will be held from March 29th till April 1st, 2012. During the Curacao International Film Festival Rotterdam 2012 the emphasis will be on Caribbean and Latin American movies. The film festival’s program will consist of selections of the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2012, an educational program for children and special events including a drive-in screening. The main location of the Curacao International Film Festival Rotterdam will be The Cinemas, a six-screen complex in the area of Otrobanda in Willemstad. During the Curacao International Film Festival 2012, The Cinemas will be changed into a great festival stage where interested visitors from the island and abroad can meet. This great initiative will certainly expand the range of culture available in Willemstad and the festival wishes to inspire cinemagoers and young talented filmmakers from around the region.
