Barceloneta has a bayside breeziness, and a rich selection of the best in market food.

You will be amazed by all the different types of fish and shell food the Barceloneta market offers you. Get a bite of local delight food “angulas”, it is a species of mini-fish that are caught in tons. Of course not to forget the famous “gambas de Palamos”, big red shrimps that are caught in the north of Catalonia at about 1,5 hours drive from Barcelona. These shrimps are taken in by boat directly at at the “lonja” of Barceloneta at 6 pm, after having been on sea since 5 am.
