Fiesta del Tostón

The Fiesta del Tostón (chestnut roast festival) originates from the days of harvesting chestnuts, where families and friends came to spend the day together and roasted chestnuts, accompanied by anise spirits. It starts at 11:00 in Puerto Rico Bajo. For anyone who wants to attend in a more environmentally-friendly way, there will be bike ride and walk from Arroyo de la Represa (Bonsai Museum) at 10:00 a.m. At the party there will be traditional children’s games, including games on bicycles and, of course, chestnuts will be roasted. If you’re coming, all you have to bring are chestnuts and drinks.
